I graduated with a first in English 2016 from the University of Nottingham, and have recently taken up some freelance reporting work with three news titles local to me in Lincolnshire. I find, research and compose multiple features and page leads every week on matters of local and regional significance.

Everything I have written recently has been necessitated by university assignments – more recently, my work in news reporting – and I feel that, although the majority papers I have written have explored subjects I personally value, it is time for me to experiment as I take a year out of education back at my home in rural Lincolnshire and build on a future writing career.

The purpose of this website is thus to use as a space to develop my writing independently and a platform whereby I can publish what a produce.

During my time reading English I developed much enthusiasm for 18th and 19th century literature and also enjoyed writing on popular culture, particularly my dissertation on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Both outside and in my academic studies I believe I have become a better intersectional feminist and activist than when I began life as a student.
